Review of yesterday’s matches.

Laying Sirius when leading paid off yesterday. I did tell you they were vulnerable to the draw, and it ended 2-2.

The Cruzeiro match saw another draw avoided. 0-1 to the underdog. I did not lay them as I said in the research, the draw angle (lay the draw) was the only angle.

In the Stromsgodset match, I mentioned to lay any side 2-0 up. Stromsgodset were 2-0 up, Tromso did score, albeit in the 88th minute. A pity. I called it correctly but the Tromso goal did not come early enough.

Another lay the 0-0 halftime score in the bag for Haugesund. Mjondalen equalised so both teams to score came in.

The market, at least William Hill, did not agree with me re Brann v Sogndal. I thought the away side would score first. Indeed they did. 0-2 halftime and 0-4 full-time. The angle was to lay BRann if they scored first.

Bryne's match was another accurate synopsis. They won 4-1, and by doing so scored 2+ goals against a Levanger side which concedes heavily.

Ranheim won 3-0 so laying them 2-0 up was not successful. Nest-Sotra did not fight back as they normally do.

Both teams scored in the Strommen v Follo match. Follo scored first 0-1. Then Strommen scored for them . 0-2 . 1-2 was the final score.

Congrats to England u21. 0-1 win against an in-form Sweden u21.

I did think Brazilian women were winning far too tight and unconvincingly. Australian women won 0-1! I would have layed Brazilian women if they scored first.

Las Palmas are over the moon v Zaragoza. They needed a 2-0 and got a 2-0 in the promotion play-offs.

I put forward a speculative lay of Rosenborg at 0-2. The key word "speculative". Alas, Sarpsborg did not score.

Colombia v Peru was a 0-0.

Sao Paulo v Avai was 0-0 at halftime. Only 7 matches played was perhaps too few with which to make any conclusions. 1-0 to Sao Paulo and then 1-1 with a 92nd minute equaliser.

The French Women have really clicked since their 1.12 defeat to Colombia. 3-0 today.

Brazil were back on track with a 2-1 win v Venezuela.

Where I mention BANKER below, this signifies those matches where I think the favourites should win. These matches I would personally prioritise as regards DRT.

Remember the strategies:

Lay the 0-0 halftime score in certain signalled matches.

Lay the 0-0 2nd half in matches where goals were expected but have not yet materialised.

Lay the 2-2 scoreline, especially early on in matches. 2-2 shows us that teams are scoring and conceding.

Lay the away team leading 0-2 before halftime, especially if they are not the pre-market favourites. The home team is usually galvanised by the halftime team talk.

Lay the underdog if they score first in certain matches (especially BANKER matches where I would back the BANKERS if they conceded first at enhanced odds).

Lay the underdog scoring early in the first half, in the HALF TIME market, especially in BANKER matches.

Do note matches where one team is red carded. The opponents do tend to score next more often than not.

4pm - FC Vitebsk v Shakhter Soligorsk - 1.55 away

Standout Stats

  • No head to heads since 2011.
  • This is 13th of 14 v 4th in the Belarus league. Only 10 matches played.

FC Vitebsk

  • Only 1 win this season, a 1-0 at home
  • 1-0, 0-0, 0-0 in their last 3 home matches.
  • Failed to score in their last 5 matches.
  • Only once this season have they scored more than 1 goal in a match
  • Only 1 win v bottom side.

Soligorsk

  • Conceded in their last 3 away matches.
  • Only 1 loss this season came last match, a 1-0
  • Have beaten 3 of the bottom 4, albeit at home, scoring 3-3-2
  • 33% over 2.5 goals away

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Soligorsk are definitely favoured here. Vitebsk have only beaten 1 side, and they are the only side below them currently.
  • That's my angle in. Soligorsk should not lose today. Simply. 0-0 is in play. 2 consecutive 0-0's at home. So lay the late 0-0 in the hope this sequence ends.

4pm - Naftan v BATE Borisov - 1.53 away

Standout Stats

  • 2 consecutive score draws when BATE visit Naftan.
  • This is 5th v 1st in the Belarus top league after 10 matches.

Naftan

  • Only 2 losses this season came away in their last 3 matches,
  • Scored and conceded in their last 4 matches.
  • Have only failed to score in the first 2 matches of the season
  • Unbeaten at home, albeit only 4 matches.
  • Yet to meet teams above them in the league at home, but lost away 2-1 to 2nd.

BATE

  • No defeat in 10 matches
  • 10 clean sheets
  • 3 match winning streak
  • 0-1, 0-1, 0-0, 0-0, 0-1 away in the last 5 matches. An utter reliance on defence which is dangerous if you are only scoring 1 goal.
  • Only 1 over 2.5 goals match this season came last match.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Something will change today. That's for sure. Either the 2 match score draw sequence in head to heads at Naftan will end as BATE keep another clean sheet, OR the score draw will return and thus end BATE's 10 consecutive clean sheets.
  • I don't think BATE will lose today, so that is my angle in.

4:30pm - FC Inter v HIFK - 1.82 home

Standout Stats

  • 3-2 Inter (cup), 6-0 HIFK (cup), 0-2 Inter (super cup), 2-1 HIFK league in head to heads. Inconclusive.
  • This is 5th v 8th in the Veikkausliga

HIFK

  • Conceded in their last 6 away matches.
  • Only 1 loss in 8
  • 3 draws in their last 4
  • Only 1 win away came via an 89th minute goal.
  • Only 1 clean sheet
  • 17% over 2,5 goals away

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • The home team tend to score first at home, the away team tend to concede first away.
  • On form I would side with Inter today and lay HIFK if they score first.
  • Lay the 0-0 halftime score.

4:30pm - Gnistan v Atlantis  - 1.53 home

Standout Stats

  • Only 1 recent head to head, a 0-1 Gnistan win this year.

  • Only 2 wins came at home, one last match
  • Failed to score in their last 2 away matches

  • Not much to go on. Gnistan are the form side early on this season. I expect them to score so would lay Atlantis if they scored first. Atlantis have only 1 clean sheet.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  • This is 1st v 9th in the Finnish Veikkausliga

  • 7 wins in their last 8 home matches
  • Failed to score in only 2 matches.
  • No 0-0 at home
  • 5 0-0's at halftime at home
  • 11 of 15 goals scored at home came 2nd half.
  • Scored first in 7 of 9 home matches.

Jaro

  • No defeat in 2 away
  • Only 3 wins.
  • 3 losses away, a win away and a draw away
  • Only 2 clean sheets came in their last 2 matches.
  • Only 1 0-0 away. Jaro have conceded first in all aways

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • This is all about HJK. They are highly likely to win today so this is a good DRT match. Jaro concede first so far in away matches so unlikely we will see a DRT here.
  • If 0-0 at halftime don't worry. HJK scored 11 of their 15 goals in the 2nd half at home
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4:30pm - PS Kemi v MP - 1.32 home

  • No 0-0

MP

  • No draw in 4 away matches
  • Conceded in their last 7 matches
  • Only 1 win in their last 6 matches, saw 4 defeats.
  • 3 losses in their last 4, 2 1-0 and a 2-0
  • Failed to score in 4 of their last 6 matches.
  • Only 1 clean sheet

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • A feeling that Kemi could simply outscore MP today if their 3-1-4-4 goal tally at home is repeated. In MP they meet a team having trouble scoring too so this looks like a good DRT as Kemi should dominate
  • Lay the 0-0 halftime score if the market is liquid enough
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6:20pm - Ljungskile v GAIS - 1.78 home

Standout Stats

  • 5 consecutive draws in head to heads, 4 draws were score draws.

  • Only 1 0-0 at home
  • 2 0-0's at halftime at home
  • 7 of 10 goals at home were scored first half.

GAIS

  • No draw in 7 away
  • Conceded in their last 11 matches.
  • 5  away defeats in their last 6 matches were to nil.
  • 4-1-5-3-7 goals in total in their last 5 matches.
  • Only 1 clean sheet
  • No draw away
  • No 0-0
  • Opponents scored first in 6 of 7 away matches.
  • Have not led at halftime away

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • On recent form it's tough. THe home side have failed to score in 4 of their last 5, but have only 1 loss at home. GAIS have conceded in their last 11 matches and there have been 20 goals in their last 5 matches.
  • Tough to call but I would expect GAIS to concede at some stage.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10pm - Norway (W) v England (W) - 2.64 away

Standout Stats

  • 1-1 when these 2 met in January 2014
  • Norway have been good so far in this World Cup. 4-0 win v Thailand. 1-1 v Germany (quite a feat), 1-3 win v Ivory Coast.
  • Eng-er-land lost 1-0 to France, beat Mexico 2-1 and beat Colombia 2-1.In both of those matches Eng-er-land led 2-0

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • The odds reflect my position. This could go either way. We saw this with England u21 v Portugal U21 the other day. In that match, Portugal U21 won 0-1. Today's match is likely to be equally as tight. Both teams are scoring recently. A match to leave alone and cheer on the ladies.
