 Review of yesterday's matches.

Ireland took the lead yesterday and while I went for 1-0, 0-1, I missed the elephant in the room - 1-1! And so it ended! Armenia scored first against dodgepots Portugal and as 1.44 were too short to lay. Were you on? They made a grand pigs ear of it and were reliant on guess who(?) to salvage hopes. I did say if Ronny clicks, Pork and cheese click. 2-3 it ended. Send your thank you cards to Robert Lewandowski. I went for 4-0 in the research and it looked like a wide-of-the-mark 1-0 until the 89th minute. 4-0 it ended! Another nice call in the Finland v Hungary match. If you backed 0-0 pre-match, then you had 82 minutes to lay off your trade and profit. Hungary won with an 82nd minute goal. 0-7 to Germany and they scored only 1 before halftime. Halftime/Fulltime was 1.05! Terrible. I hope you took a stab at a correct score there? Northern Ireland and Romania were as tough to split as the odds - 0-0. 2-0 to Denmark. Both teams did not score. I told you I would not back Greece with stolen drachma at such short odds. 2-1 to Faroes. I hope you read between the lines and layed those Greeks? Uruguay without Luis Suarez are blunt up front. They beat  Jamaica 1-0.  It was 0-0 at halftime. So I hope you got involved 2nd half if up late enough. I backed Uruguay at 1.86 which I thought value considering the opposition. Argentina raced to a 2-0 lead v Paraguay, but was mugged guv'nor in the 90th minute  2-2 final score . Did you lay the 0-0 halftime score (if up late enough?) On to today...

Where I mention BANKER below, this signifies those matches where I think the favourites should win. These matches I would personally prioritise as regards DRT.

Remember the strategies:

Lay the 0-0 halftime score in certain signalled matches.

Lay the 0-0 2nd half in matches where goals were expected but have not yet materialised.

Lay the 2-2 scoreline, especially early on in matches. 2-2 shows us that teams are scoring and conceding.

Lay the away team leading 0-2 before halftime, especially if they are not the pre-market favourites. The home team is usually galvanised by the halftime team talk.

Lay the underdog if they score first in certain matches (especially BANKER matches where I would back the BANKERS if they conceded first at enhanced odds).

Lay the underdog scoring early in the first half, in the HALF TIME market, especially in BANKER matches.

Do note matches where one team is red carded. The opponents do tend to score next more often than not.

14 Jun 17:00 UK Slovenia v England  - 1.85 away

Standout Stats

  • Perfect 5 from 5 for England sees them with a 6 points gap at the top of Group E with Slovenia on their heels.
  • Slovenia have lost to Estonia away and England away. England came from behind to win.
  • Other wins against the minnows have been to nil.
  • 2 consecutive wins to nil at home for Slovenia albeit v Swiss and San Marino.
  • England have conceded only 1 goal in their 5 wins and that was against Slovenia.
  • It's taken 2nd half goals for England to win their 2 away matches.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • England are the form side here. We may need patience to see any England goal as they have scored 2nd half in their 2 away matches .The only goal conceded was an own goal by Henderson so I do expect England to again be tough to score against.
  • 0-0, 0-2 attracts the patriot in me today. I think England will not lose tonight and will definitely lay Slovenia if they land the first blow.

14 Jun 17:00 UK Ukraine v Luxembourg  - 1.08 home

Standout Stats

  • 3 or 4 goals seems the norm when playing Luxembourg in these Euro qualifiers. All teams scored before halftime so expect a goal at least before halftime for Ukraine today.
  • With Slovakia and Spain dominating in Group C, expect an emphatic win for Ukraine and a thought towards goal difference too. Ukraine are likely to win to nil.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • A correct score punt beckons for Ukraine who are likely to win to nil. 3-0, 5-0, 6-0 for me as potential correct scores. No doubt it will be 4-0 lol.
  • Expect goals before halftime although it took til the 1/2 hour mark last time. More of that please today. Lay the 0-0 halftime score as late as you can.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14 Jun 17:00 UK Estonia v San Marino  - 1.04 home

Standout Stats

  • Estonia have failed to score in their last 4 qualifiers and a 0-0 away at San Marino was remarkable. I followed the inplay stats and Estonia absolutely battered that San Marino goal. It must have been Roy of the Rovers stuff from the San Marino keeper. I remember backing Estonia at something like 50+ in odds in the dying strides, such were the shots stats.
  • San Marino have failed to score in all qualifiers.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Another 0-0 would be such an anomoly. I would not put you off laying Estonia at 1.04. Liabilities are extremely low but the odds progression in order to profit from the odds rising  would be painfully slow unless San Marino scored or Estonia got a red card.
  • The market expects reparation today. 4+ goals given the odds and a win to nil
  • 0-0, 5-0, 7-0 correct scores for me today.

14 Jun 17:00 UK Russia v Austria  - 1.95 home

Standout Stats

  • Russia were uncharacteristically leaky against Belarus, albeit in a 4-2 friendly win.
  • Draws have been Russia's curse and left them 3rd in Group G on 5 points, 4 points shy of 2nd and on equal points with Montenegro. Heck, even Liechtenstein are only a point behind Russia. VladifookingVostok  the manager must be thinking to himself.
  • A 1-1 draw with Moldova started the spiral for Russia. They lost 1-0 away at Austria too and if I recall, I called that match well in the research as the Austrians had impressed.
  • Indeed a 1-1 draw with Sweden, is followed by 4 wins in the Euros for Austria.  THey only beat Moldova 1-2 away care of a penalty.
  • Russia at home remain unbeaten in 6 home Euro qualifiers.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Austria remain top regardless of the result today. Russia cannot move up but a win can take them within a point of Sweden who have an eminently winnable match v Montenegro.
  • It's tough to call, as Austria are in such good form. Russia too, though are in solid unbeaten form at home. Back 0-0 pre match and hope the match is 0-0 at halftime in order to trade out.

14 Jun 19:45 UK Lithuania v Switzerland  - 1.44 away

Standout Stats

  • A win for Lithuania would see them equal on points with the Swiss today .A win for the Swiss will help then close in on England at the top of group E
  • No draw yet for Lithuania sees 2 wins and 3 defeats. Wins predictably came against San Marino and Estonia.
  • The Swiss won 4-0 at home.
  • In stark contrast, 2 defeats and 3 wins for the Swiss. The Swiss scored 3 or 4 v the minnows .

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • The odds are "suspiciously high" given the opponents for the Swiss today. They should win today against a Lithuanian outfit only beating the poor minnows.  I would have expected shorter odds today, around the 1.25 marker so maybe there is some team news I am missing. Maybe the team Toblerone has gone missing, or the manager has lost his army knife? I expect a win to nil tonight.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14 Jun 19:45 UK Sweden v Montenegro  - 1.44 home

Standout Stats

  • The Swedes remain 2nd even if they lost today in GRoup G. Do note though that they have played a match more than Russia and Montenegro in 3rd and 4th spots.
  • 3 score draws and 2 wins for Sweden v Liechtenstein and Moldova does not impress. You get the feeling that, like Portugal, if star player Ibra has a hissy fit and underperforms, Sweden will under perform.  Ibra has scored the last 3 goals for the Swedes including both against Moldova, one a penalty ina  very unimpressive performance.
  • A 1-1 draw away to Montenegro was equally as poor.
  • Luckily for Sweden Montenegro have trouble scoring. They have scored only 1 in their last 4 matches.
  • They have failed to score in their last 4 away euro qualifiers, including 2011.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • A 1-1 away in Montenegro was poor for Sweden who have had a poor campaign. Goals are hard to come by and this is another 1.44 shot which is not backable pre-match at all.I would want far better odds in-play before entertaining the mis-firing Swedes. Luckily they meet a side who have trouble scoring so could nick a 1-0, 2-0 tonight.

14 Jun 19:45 UK Slovakia v FYR Macedonia  - 1.25 home

Standout Stats

  • Slovakia are top of Group C with 5 consecutive wins, beating Spain into 2nd.
  • Slovakia beat Spain 2-1, and have scored 3-2-3 in their last 3 matches.
  • 0-2 for Slovakia away at Macedonia was a comfortable win with 2 goals before halftime.
  • Macedonia have lost 4 matches and beat Luxembourg 3-2.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • The odds are right here. Lay the 0-0 halftime score here in the hope that Slovakia score before halftime as they did away at Macedonia.
  • 2-0, 3-0 possible wins today for Slovakia to keep them top of Group C. Spain, as you see below, have an eminently winnable match away at Belarus.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14 Jun 19:45 UK Belarus v Spain  - 1.28 away

Standout Stats

  • Belarus continued their good scoring run lately by scoring 2 in defeat to Russia in their most recent friendly.
  • 3-0 to Spain in 2014 in a Euro qualifier.
  • Since the loss to Spain, Belarus beat Mexico 3-2, beat Macedonia 1-2 , drew 0-0 with Gabon, and lost 4-2 to Russia. They have scored 2+ goals in 3 of their last 4 matches.
  • The win over Macedonia was the only win in 8 qualifiers.
  • 3 consecutive home euro qualifier losses for Belarus and likely a 4th today.
  • Spain have not had a draw in 18 matches in all competitions.
  • Spain have lost 3 of their last 4 away v France in a friendly, Slovakia in a qualifier and Netherlands in a friendly.
  • 16 wins and that loss to Slovakia is Spain's recent record in Euro qualifiers. They don't do draws!
  • 6 wins and a 2-1 loss to Slovaki in their last 7 away matches in qualifiers.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Lay any late draw as Spain tend to avoid draws, and to be honest tend to win. They spanked Belarus with ease in November with home advantage and meet a Belarus scoring 2+ in 3 of their last 4. This might see Belarus score today and I hope they score first as we can get a decent trade in here.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14 Jun 21:00 UK Colombia v Venezuela  - 1.4 home

Standout Stats

  • In World Cup qualification in 2013, Venezuela won 1-0. This is not reflective in the WilliamHill odds above.
  • 7 consecutive wins for Colombia, mostly in friendlies.
  • 12 wins in 14 matches. Only Brazil have beaten Colombia during that run.
  • 3 wins in their last 4 for Venezuela came v Honduras twice and Peru.
  • A recent friendly loss to Jamaica might hint at an ability to turn into a Sunday league team at a moment's notice.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • No competitive matches with which to work. Colombia have the better recent form, and only Brazil have stopped them in their last 14 matches. I would have to be with them today and lay venezuela if they score first.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14 Jun 23:30 UK Brazil v Peru  - 1.17 home

Standout Stats

  • These 2 last met in 2009.
  • Brazil have played friendlies mostly, but keep winning, and keep collecting clean sheets.
  • Peru have been a little less consistent, Losing to Chile, paraguay and Venezuela recently.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Little to go on. 3-0 loss for Peru to Chile is the template here for me. Brazil should match this today. 1.17 shots as you know are expected to win and score 3/4 goals.  And we expect a goal at least before halftime (lay the 0-0 halftime score as late as you can).
  • Note that the Betfair odds are 1.34 for Brazil as compared with the 1.17 odds of William Hill when I started my research. Odds have almost doubled on Betfair.
