Where I mention BANKER below, this signifies those matches where I think the favourites should win. These matches I would personally prioritise as regards DRT.

Remember the strategies:

Lay the 0-0 halftime score in certain signalled matches

Lay the 0-0 2nd half in matches where goals were expected but have not yet materialised

Lay the 2-2 scoreline, especially early on in matches. 2-2 shows us that teams are scoring and conceding.

Lay the away team leading 0-2 before halftime, especially if they are not the pre-market favourites. The home team is usually galvanised by the halftime team talk.

Lay the underdog if they score first in certain matches (especially BANKER matches where I would back the BANKERS if they conceded first at enhanced odds).

Lay the underdog scoring early in the first half, in the HALF TIME market, especially in BANKER matches.

Do note matches where one team is red carded. The opponents do tend to score next more often than not.

Guangzhou ended their run of conceding in the 90th minute and won 2-0. Spurs won 1-2. Utenis Utena took the lead. I wanted to lay them but then Trakai got a red card. A pity as they were dominating shots wise . Look out for Trakai's next match. I cannot see them losing 2 consecutive matches after their previous record. Concordia needed to win. Did you keep faith in them? They went 0-1 down, equalised, 1-2 down, equalised and at 2-2 (desmond tutu), Concordia got the win they needed. Jablonec's match ended in a draw, so laying the late draw was not effective but the odds were short. If you layed the late 0-0 in Rapid Vienna's match, you'd have been amply rewarded with 2 86th+ minute goals. Grodig conceded 2 goals yet again. So much for a tight Europa League Final. I guess that once the 2 legged format ends, teams go for it. Dnipro scored first, Sevilla equalised, then Sevilla took the lead, Dnipro equalised. Another Desmond Tutu ( 2-2) ended with a Sevilla winner. A good day all in all with some good angles. There was an excellent bet with Switzerland ladies v German ladies. 1-0 at halftime, the German ladies had all of the possession and ended up winning 1-3. The German ladies were 1.16 pre match so were expected to win. I backed them at 2.45 which was relatively high given their was a whole half left in the match. On to today..

5:30pm - De Graafschap v Volendam  - 1.76 home

Standout Stats

  • 5th and 6th in the Eerste Divisie in a 2 legged play-off in Holland.
  • Volendam have a 2-2, 2-1 home win and 0-2 away win in their last 3 head to heads.
  • De Graafschap are favoured today.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • No strong angles in I'm afraid as this is the 1st of 2 legs. We could have an angle in , in the 2nd leg as we will know what the teams need to do.
  • In head to heads, Volendam are favoured today . Enough to lay De Graaf if they score first?

5:30pm - FC Stumbras v Zalgiris  - 1.12 away

Standout Stats

  • 4-1 to Zalgiris as recently as 19th May at home.
  • This is 8th v 1st in the Lithuanian top flight.

FC Stumbras

  • Only 3 wins this season.
  • 3 consecutive defeats, 2 at home
  • Scored and conceded in their last 5 matches.
  • Both teams scored in 6 of the last 7 matches.
  • Scored 2 goals in each of their last 3 matches, but lost their last 2 home matches.
  • Only 1 clean sheet
  • No 0-0

Zalgiris

  • 5 match winning run, 2 away
  • No draw in 13 matches and in 6 away
  • Scored in their last 13 matches.
  • All wins bar a loss this season
  • 6-6-4-4- scored in their last 4 matches

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • 1.12 as you know means goals before halftime, Zalgiris likely to be leading at halftime, and 4+ goals. Zaligiris frank this is their last 4 matches.
  • Lay the 0-0 halftime score as late as you can, if the markets are liquid enough of course.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6pm - CSMS Iasi v Steaua Bucharest  - 1.28 away

Standout Stats

  • 5 consecutive Steaua Bucharest wins in head to heads, scoring 3-3-1-1-3.
  • 0-3, 0-1, 0-3 in the last 3 matches at CSMS.
  • This is 9th v 1st in the Romanian top flight.
  • This is the last match of the season Steaua Bucharest must win today as they are 2 points ahead of 2nd.

CSMS Iasi

  • No win in 2 home matches.
  • 12 clean sheets in their last 16 matches is very interesting.
  • 2 consecutive losses.
  • Only 1 win at home v top 5.
  • 3 0-0's at home

Steaua Bucharest

  • 3 match winning streak away
  • Scored and conceded in their last 2 away matches.
  • 3-0-3-2-3-2 scored in their recent matches.
  • 2-0-3-3-3 scored in their last 5 away matches.
  • All wins away v 10th and lower and they are playing 9th today.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Must win for Steaua Bucharest today and must wins do win....right? Steaua have been scoring at the right time and if they can get 3 again away from home, they will have this today. A win and the title is theirs.  BEWARE - a draw and the title is most likely to be theirs based on goal difference. CSMS have been adept at keeping clean sheets but have lost their last 2 matches.
  • I would most certainly lay CSMS if they score first today.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6pm - Targu Mures v Otelul Galati - 1.18 home

Standout Stats

  • 0-0 and 0-2 to Targu Mures in the last 2 head to heads.
  • Targu Mures must win today. This is the last match  of the season. Targu must win which will take them to 71 points. They do need Steaua to lose today.
  • Otelul are down. Targu Mures are 2nd.

Targu Mures

  • 8 match winning streak at home
  • No defeat in 16 at home
  • Scored in their last 8 at home
  • All 5 defeats this season came away. 2 defeats in their last 3 matches.
  • Tight recent home matches, 1-0, 1-0, 2-1, 2-1, 6-1, 1-0.
  • All clean sheets at home v 11th and lower.
  • 69% clean sheets at home

Otelul

  • No win in 2 away matches.
  • Scored and conceded in their last 4 matches.
  • Only 1 loss in 7 matches. 2 consecutive wins came at home.
  • Only 2 away matches.
  • Beat 1st away and bottom away.
  • Recently beat 1st in the league on 19th April away.
  • Failed to score in 11 away matches.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • AS with Steaua Bucharest, Must wins tend to win....right?
  • Otelul put a spanner in the works with their 1-2 win over Steaua Bucharest recently. Their first goal was an own goal so perhaps that's not a result to take too literally.
  • Targu Mures are great at home at the moment but are doing just enough to win. They are undefeated in 16 matches at home. If Otelul score first, lay them, better yet back Targu at better odds.  I would hope for a clean sheet win .
  • As you know, another caveat. 1.18 odds suggests a goal at least before halftime so lay the 0-0 halftime score. It also suggests 3/4 goals from Targu Mures.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7:30pm - Hamburg v Karlsruhe  - 2.12 home

Standout Stats

  • This is the first leg of the German play-offs. Karlsruhe came 4th in the Bundesliga 2.
  • Hamburg were 16th in the Bundesliga.
  • Logically I would have to go with the home team as they have been playing better teams all season.
  • Most of the damage done last season for Hamburg came away from home. They only lost 2 matches at home v top 11 teams  . They were strangely poor v 12th and lower at home failing to score in 4 of those matches.
  • 4 of Karlsruhe's 6 defeats last season came away from home. Against the top 7 away from home, Karlsruhe lost 3, drew 1 and won 2 matches.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • There is an inkling that Karlsruhe are vulnerable to top teams in Bundesliga 2, so perhaps that makes them vulnerable to bottom sides in the Bundesliga.
  • I would, as I say, favour the home side today.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7:45pm - Rangers v Motherwell  - 2 home

Standout Stats

  • 5 Rangers win and a 0-0 in the last 6 head to heads.
  • A number of the head to heads came back in 2012.
  • At home, Rangers have kept 3 consecutive clean sheets.
  • This is a 2 legged match so tactics will play a major part. Rangers will want to keep a clean sheet .

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • I would favour Rangers here today, despite Motherwell playing in the better league all season. Lay Motherwell if they score first.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- French Open Tennis. The tennis is far better traded than bet on, if you get what I'm saying. Let the matches unravel and then seek value entry points. Although Fernando Verdasco lost the match, he fought back after losing the first set. Laying Becker 3-0 sets betting after winning the first set was the angle in here. Andujar v Kohlschreiber is a cracker (it's still in play!) and I pointed this out to you yesterday. Andujar won the first set and the 2nd set - did you lay him 3-0 set betting? Kohl won the next 2 sets . A match I called very well. Fognini was a disappointment. I layed Paire 1-0 up and layed him 2-0 up and profited latterly when Foggy was 5-3 up 3rd set. He lost the 3rd set but I still profited. REmember that trading can profit on the HINT of the occurence we hoped for , coming true. Gael Monfils delivered another nice trading match, losing the 1st and 3rd sets. Easy to lay Schwartzman 3-0 sets after the first set, and laying him 2-1 up in the match odds. Lucic-Baroni did what she did against Keys, to Halep but ended up winning 2-0. I layed her at 1.04 again but this time I lost! Misaka Dio won the first set agaisnt Ivanovic. Ana ( phoarr) won the next 2 sets. Today 10am - Marin Cilic v Andrea Arnaboldi  - 1.07 Cilic. 1.61 3-0 sets is compelling  - the market expects 10th to smash 187th in the world. Angles in? Lay Cilic at 1.07 .....just in case..... Arnaboldi is very lucky to be here. 2-2 first round with 3 7-6 sets and a retirement for his opponent, James "Vera" Duckworth. There is a hope for some tiebreakers but I feel a player 10th in the world will be too much. From a trading perspective, I hope Andrea battles. 10am - Julia Goerges v Caroline Wozniacki  - 1.15 Woz. 1.48 for 2-0 is probably not something I am interested in. Woz can tend to be slow to start.3-4 in head to heads is very interesting indeed. It does suggest I lay Woz at 1.15 , better yet at a lower price if she breaks first.  In 2014 and 2015, Woz won the last 2 head to heads.  It was a 3 setter in 2014 and 2 6-4 set wins in 2015. This again further underlines a hope that Woz is vulnerable at short odds if breaking first. Woz had an easy run in the first round with a retirement so we are yet to see her really play. 10am - Jerzy Janowicz v Leonardo Mayer  - 1.37 Mayer. As with Kohlschreiber's match, this has the feel of a match where both players will get a set. 50th v 22nd is not such a massive gap in the rankings.0-1 to Mayer head to heads. Jerzy has had 3 1st round clay court exits and the poor form was underlined by Dimitrov's departure recently in this competition in straight setss. Mayer reached the final in Nice on clay, losing 1-2 to Thiem. He is the man with the form entering this match. I think it suggests Mayer will win, but there is a feeling, as I say, that we lay the first set winner in the set betting 3-0 . Slight concern. I have noticed the set betting markets are really illiquid. So maybe lay the first set winner in the match odds. Better yet, hope a player takes a 2-0 lead. Mayer favoured for me today so hope he gets in a pickle. 10am - Petra Kvitova v Silvia Soler-Espinosa  - 1.12 Petra 4th v 97th in the World. Rankings didn't stop Halep imploding yesterday! Espinoza, like Jerzy, is a 1st round exiter on clay . Petra lost 0-2 to suarex Navaroo in the quarters in Italy. 2-1 in the first round v Erakovic. Kvitova did lose a set when not expected to yesterday. I cannot see Espinoza, on form, troubling her. A good DRT match therefore. Look for a shock 10am - Andrea Petkovic v Lourdes Dominguez Lino  - 1.15 Andrea. 2 straight set wins for Andrea in head to heads, the latest in 2014. 10am - Francesca Schiavone v Svetlana Kuznetsova  - 1.15 Svet. 98nd v 18th . Schiavone is a terrier-like player and former French Open Champion so I would speculatively lay Svetlana if she breaks first at nice short odds. If she wins the first set, better as her odds will be even shorter. I could foresee a tight 2nd set if Svet wins the first set. 11:15am- Nicolas Almagro v Rafael Nadal  - 1.07 Rafa 154th v 7th. Only top 10 players tend to beat Nadal recently. Almagro took a set off Djokovic, in Italy 2nd round  - the first set -so pleasee Nicolas could you do that again! 1:12 for Nadal in head to heads.  2 straight sets wins for Rafa in 2015. 11:15am - David Goffin v Santiago Giraldo  - 1.32 Goffin This is another match where I think Goffin will drop a set. 18th v 64th in the world. Goffin is still learning. 2.82 to lay 3-0? Well we can get shorter odds if Goffin wins the first set. He dropped the first set first round . Giraldo beat Marin Cilic in Geneva so that re-inforces the idea that Goffin will not win in 3 straight sets ( at least if Giraldo turns up with that form). 11:15am - Lucie Hradecka v Victoria Azarenka   - 1.14 Azarenka 61st v 27th in the rankings. 1.5 for 2-0 sets is a wee bit short for me. Azarenka can " do a Fognini" at times. Both head to heads saw Hradecka taking a set and 7-5 sets in both matches. The 2 matches saw the first set 7-5, Azarenka win, then Hradecka won a set, then Azarenka won the 3rd set. So lay Azarenka 2-0 set betting if she wins the first set. 11:15am  - Jurgen Melzer v Andrey Kuznetsov  - 1.55 Andrey 110 v 120th in the rankings. The odds should be a little closer. 3.6 to lay Kuznetsov might have legs from the off here. As I keep repeating, better odds if he wins the first set. These 2 tend to go out 1st and 2nd rounds in recent tournaments. I think both players will win a set. 11:15am  - Serena Williams v Anna-Lena Friedsam  - 1.03  -I would always lay 1.03 shots just in case.... 11:30am - Karolina Pliskova v Andreea Mitu - 1.35 Karolina 12th v 100th in the rankings. no head to heads. No real opinions on this one. There is a big rankings discrepancy. Lay Mitu if she wins the first set. 12:30pm - Jeremy Chardy v John Isner  - 1.57 Isner. Odds about right here. Expect a tie breaker or 2 with Isner.45th v 16th 2-1 to Chardy in head to heads suggests we can lay the first set winner in the 3-0 set betting market. Lay Chardy if he is 2-0 up. 12:30pm - Novak Djokovic v Gilles Muller  - unbackable - lay Novak at 1.01. Short change I know but he might pull a muscle or have an off day. No value to be had unless Muller makes a mark. 12:45pm - Andy Murray v Joao Sousa  - 1.03 . Another player to lay at such odds in a first to 3 sets Grand Slam. 3rd v 44th in the rankings. Sousa was a beaten finalist in Geneva so has solid clay credentials.  1.33 for 3-0 Murray is enticing. 3-1 is the value call I suppose at 4.9 as it is still alive at 2-0 and 1-0 to Sousa 12:45pm - Jack Sock v Pablo Carreno Busta  - 1.45 Sock 37th v 61st. This is likely to be tighter than the Dimitrov match for Sock. Grigor didn't show up. First meeting for these 2. Semi final in Estoril for Busta. I would again Lay Sock 3-0 sets here if he wins the first. In fact, lay the first set winner 3-0 1:45pm - Heather Watson v Sloane Stephens  - 1.43 Sloane Guernsey's finest battled through to win. Sloane Stephens is the price Heather was last time she played. This is interest. 45th ranked Heather plays 40th placed Sloane. Heather has won in the last 4 head to heads. She dropped a set twice in 2012 but in 2015 in Hobart, she won 6-3, 6-1 on the hard court. 2 1st round exits, a 2nd round exit to Carla for Heather recently. Sloane reached the semi's in Strasbourg. On form I would favour Sloane Stephens but I could see this being competitive. I hope Heather takes a set and I would lay the first set winner to win 2-0 here today. I hope I'm right and the market is wrong. 2pm - Richard Gasquet v Carlos Berlocq  - 1.12 Gasquet 21st v 111th. French star Gasquet will win, I'd say and at 1.7 3-0 it is enticing. Value lies in Berlocq showing the form of his battling 3-2 come from behind win in the first round. 2pm - Daniel Gimeno Traver v David Ferrer  - 1.03 Ferrer. 66th v 8th Just as with Berdych playing a fellow countryman, Traver might have a chance of winning a set so lay Ferrer 3-0 sets if he wins the first set. It will present a value angle in. 2pm - Yen-Hsun Lu v Kevin Anderson  - 1.16 Anderson. 65th v 17th in the world. Lu won in 2015  so I would lay Anderson at 2.00 or lower in the 3-0 set betting market just in the hope he remembers that win and it gives Lu some belief. 2:15pm - Danka Kovinic v Kristina Mladenovic  - 1.66 Kristina. 89th v 44th. Mladenovic took advantage of a poor Bouchard first round. With Kovinic reaching the Final in Prague and winning, I expect Kristina to be vulnerable and will lay her if 1st set victor.
