Where I mention BANKER below, this signifies those matches where I think the favourites should win. These matches I would personally prioritise as regards DRT.

Remember the strategies:

  • Lay the 0-0 halftime score in certain signalled matches

  • Lay the 0-0 2nd half in matches where goals were expected but have not yet materialised

  • Lay the 2-2 scoreline, especially early on in matches. 2-2 shows us that teams are scoring and conceding.

  • Lay the away team leading 0-2 before halftime, especially if they are favourites. The home team is usually galvanised by the halftime team talk.

  • Lay the underdog if they score first in certain matches (especially BANKER matches where I would back the BANKERS if they conceded first at enhanced odds)

  • Lay the underdog  scoring early in the first half, in the HALF TIME market , especially in BANKER matches.

5pm - Plzen v Teplice  - 1.41 home - BANKER in so far as I don't expect Plzen to lose

Standout Stats

  • This is a Czech cup match. What interests is the first leg scoreline. 1-2 to Teplice. All goals came in the 77th minute + so a smash and grab late on by Teplice.
  • At home, Plzen have won the last 5 head to heads 2-1, 3-0, 1-0 most recently.
  • 7 wins and a solitary loss (Teplice) for Plzen in their last 8 matches.
  • 10 wins, a 0-0 and a loss for Plzen in their last 12 home matches. 3 clean sheets in their last 4 matches.
  • 2 consecutive wins for Teplice includes that home cup win v Plzen.
  • Away from home, they have only won 2 of their last 9 matches.  One of those wins was in a friendly.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • 1-0 minimum required of Plzen today to stay in the Czech Cup. They did fail to win in their last 2 home cup matches but have 4 clean sheets in 5 at home.
  • 4 wins in 5 for Teplice in the cup and 3 consecutive away wins to nil, albeit not sure of the quality of the teams.
  • A case of faith in the home side today regaining a lead and keeping in the cup. Do note they have failed to win their last 2 home cup matches.

5:30pm - Genoa v Parma  - 1.66 home

Standout Stats

  • Draw, Genoa, Draw, Genoa so it goes in head to heads of late.
  • 2-2, 1-1, 1-0 in the last 3 home head to heads for Genoa.
  • This is 9th v 20th in Seria A. Genoa's season seems over  - they are 9 points shy of 4th. Parma beat Juventus last time out, and are on 16 points, and have 13 points to 4th bottom, and that is assuming 4th bottom get NO points between now and the end of the season. You get the idea! It seems like Arrivaderci Parma.
  • There are 9 matches and a possible 27 points remaining this season so there is still plenty of action left for these 2, despite the apparent 'dead rubber" - ness of this match.

Genoa

  • Only 3 wins in 15 matches is a poor recent return. 4 draws, a win and a loss in their last 6 home matches.
  • Unbeaten v 14th and lower at home, albeit with draws v 14th, 15th, 17th.
  • Scored 5-2-2 in 3 matches at home v 16th and lower.
  • Only 1 0-0 all season

Parma

  • Conceded in their last 11 away matches
  • Scored and conceded in their last 2 away matches.
  • 1 consecutive 1-0 wins, albeit at home
  • Unbeaten in 3 now
  • Have not scored 2+ goals in a single match in their last 24 matches, hence 1-0 is a best case scenario.
  • Only 1 away win.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Parma are always in trouble if not scoring more than 1 goal in a single match. They have pulled it off last 2 matches with 2 home 1-0 wins. But they have conceded in their last 11 away matches so are unlikely to win today if scoring only 1 goal.
  • Lay Parma therefore if they score first.
  • Genoa could score 2 today at least if retaining the form against bottom 5 that they showed at home earlier in the season.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5:30pm - Lyon v SC Bastia  - 1.36 home

Standout Stats

  • 1-3 Lyon, 4-1 Lyon and 0-0 in the last 3 head to heads.
  • this is 2nd v 14th in French Ligue 1. Lyon are a point behind Paris St Germain so go top with a win tonight as PSG have Champions League duty. Bastia are uncomfortably only 2 points from the relegation zone, albeit with this game in hand over bottom and 3rd bottom. A win will take them on the cusp of top 10 , so tight is it between 11th and 18th in the league (5 points)

Lyon

  • Scored in their last 13 home matches.
  • 11 home wins and a draw ended with a 1-2 loss v Nice which saw both sides score late penalties so it was an unlucky home defeat for Lyon. Looking at their home form, it is a bit of stretch to suggest 2 consecutive home defeats.
  • Scored and conceded in 6 of their last 8 matches.
  • Only 2 home losses v 10th and 20th.
  • Only 3 wins in 9 matches is a concern and they must stop leaking points, particularly with a distracted PSG.
  • No 0-0 at home
  • Lacazette the key scorer. If he doesn't play, Lyon will be vulnerable.
  • 33 goals scored at home and only 8 conceded.
  • Scored first in 13 of 15 home matches.

Bastia

  • 3 match losing streak away conceding 2-3-3
  • Only 1 win in 5 matches.
  • Failed to score in 3 of their last 5 matches,
  • Failed to win away to top 8 this season, with losses to 1st, 3rd and 5th without scoring, draw with 6th, loss to 7th and 8th
  • No away 0-0
  • Conceded 11 goals in the last 1/2 hour of away matches.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • This is a pivotal match for Lyon today. They must win while PSG are distracted by the Champions League and go top with a win. Head to heads have been emphatic of late, bar a worrisome 0-0 at Bastia last time out.
  • I do not expect Lyon to lose 2 consecutive home matches, so that is my angle here today. If Bastia lead, or look like winning, I will oppose them.
  • There is a chance of a Lyon goal before halftime so lay the 0-0 halftime score. They tend to score equally in both halves at home, and are the likelier 1st goal scorers today.
  • With this being a match of need, lay the late 0-0.
  • Will Bastia's failure to win away to top 8, and score away to top 5, be their undoing today?

5:45pm - Manisaspor v Galatasaray  - 1.53 away - BANKER -slightly riskier as Galatasary are already 4-0 up in the cup but are clearly the better side.

Standout Stats

  • This is a Turkish Cup match between 15th in 1 Liga and 1st in the Super Lig.
  • The match is 4-0 to Galatasary from the first leg. They are obviously the better side and have an away match in the league on the 19th. Will that suggest a weakened Galatasary side today?

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Abrupt research here. A dilemma as usual with these 2 legged affairs. Galatasary are by far the better side by a mile. A 4-0 home win was as convincing as it gets. Angle in? I'm not so sure.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7:45pm - Celtic v Kilmarnock  - 1.17 home - BANKER

Standout Stats

  • 7 consecutive Celtic wins in head to heads.
  • Celtic won the last 4 matches to nil
  • This is 1st v 9th in the SPL. Celtic are 5 points clear of Aberdeen. With 2 matches remaining, if Celtic win today, they win the SPL. This is their last home match so motivation is massive.
  • Just quick form check really because of the above.
  • Celtic drew their last match, away to Inverness 1-1.
  • 5 wins and a 0-1 loss to St Johnstone in their last 6 home matches.
  • 11 clean sheets for Celtic in 14 matches.
  • Only 2 wins for Kilmarnock in 13 matches, and they have 3 consecutive 2-1 defeats.
  • No win in 6 away for Kilmarnock sees 4 draws.
  • Only 1 away win for Kilmarnock.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • This is a good DRT match as we expect Celtic to win at home and clinch the SPL title for their fans. This is their last home match of the season. Kilmarnock have been losing 1-2/2-1 of late so a hope they score first so we can back Celtic at enhanced odds.

7:45pm - Livingston v Rangers  - 1.47 away

Standout Stats

  • 0-1 Rangers, 2-0 Rangers and 1-1 in the 3 Championship head to heads this season.
  • This is 10th and bottom, v joint 2nd in the Scottish Championship.

Livingston

  • 2 consecutive 2-1 wins. But how have they performed v the big 3? 2-1 loss, 5-0 loss, 0-1 loss, 0-4 loss, 2-0 loss, 0-1 loss, 2-3 loss, 1-0 loss, 2-1 loss, 1-1 draw. That last 1-1 draw was v Rangers. Do note that Livingston got progressively tighter against the big 3, albeit without winning, as the season progressed.
  • Only 1 win in 13 home matches came in their last match.
  • Only 2 clean sheets.
  • Scored and conceded in their last 6 matches.
  • Only 1 0-0 at home

Rangers

  • 4 wins and a loss to Queen of the South in their last 5 matches.
  • Unbeaten in their last 5 away matches.
  • Only 1 loss in 11 matches.
  • Only 1 0-0 away

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • Lay any late 0-0. Livingston could score today, albeit without winning so this will be my angle in today. 2nd place is up for grabs for Rangers who are 3rd really on goal difference so they could have an incentive to score goals today too.
  • I do hope Livingston score first. Rangers are in solid enough form with only 1 loss in 11 matches so I will lay Livingston if they score first.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7:45pm - Paris St-G v Barcelona  - 1.81 away

Standout Stats

  • Both teams have scored in the 5 head to heads. In 2014, PSG won 3-2 at home and lost 3-1 in Barcelona.
  • This Champions League (CL) match may replicate last year's match, as PSG will seek to outscore Barcelona . They want to keep Barcelona to at least 1 goal, as I suspect PSG know that Barcelona are likely to score at some stage.
  • 2 score draws for PSG v Chelsea saw them go through on the away goals rule.
  • Barcelona fairly routinely beat Manchester City 1-2 and 1-0 to go through. Note they scored those away goals to effectively end the tie.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • If past history is an accurate reflection of what will happen again, then expect both teams to score. Emphasis for Barcelona will be on scoring 2 away goals regardless of whether they win the match, as happened last year. PSG will need to match this. Back 2-2 pre match perhaps and hope for some goal action? Remember this is the first leg. In an ideal world, PSG keeps a clean sheet. In an ideal world for Barca, they score 1 or 2 away goals.
  • Lay any side 2-0 up
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7:45pm - Porto v B Munich  - 1.87 away

Standout Stats

  • No head to heads.
  • Porto you feel have had the easier time of it getting to this stage of the Champions League, playing recently Basel to get to this position.  4 consecutive clean sheets for Bayern Munich now in the Champions League suggests their tactics today. Keep Porto out and score that away goal.
  • Bayern did struggle away in their last 2 CL matches, a 3-2 loss to Manchester City (context though - they were already through) and a 0-0 with Shakhtar Donetsk.
  • Porto have played the likes of Lille, BATE, Athletic Bilbao, Shakhtar, and Basel at home, winning all bar a draw with Shakhtar.

Profitable In-Play Opportunities

  • We all know now that this is the first leg, and a match revolving around the scoring of an away goal, and the avoidance of said concesssion by the home team.
  • Porto have had a relatively easy passage. Now the fun begins. I do expect Bayern Munich to progress over the 2 legs and certainly get an away goal, despite a 0-0 v Shakhtar in their last away match. Porto's CL form is tough to quantify. How do the likes of Lille, BATE and Basel measure up against Bayern Munich.
  • 0-1,1-2 that kind of scoreline expected today.
  • Of a protracted 0-0 today (and both matches last night saw long periods of 0-0), I would lay said 0-0 late on in the expectation of an eventual goal.
