DRT Daily Tips Bulletin, December 27, 2017

A quiet day today. Will Man City continue to dominate this league? It looks as if they win. Newcastle recently had 4 consecutive defeats. Aberdeen is my pick of the SPL. It looks the most clear cut match.
ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE
19:45 - Newcastle v Man City - 1.26 Man City
Newcastle (15th)
- Only 1 win in 10 matches came last match, a 2-3 v West Ham.
- 4 consecutive home defeats, failing to score in 3 of those matches.
- Only 3 clean sheets this season.
- No 0-0 at halftime in 8 matches.
- Conceded in their last 10 matches.
- No 0-0.
- All defeats bar 1 v top 12 teams.
- Not played the top 3 at home.
Man City (1st)
- 17 consecutive wins, 9 away.
- Scored 2+ goals in each of their last 12 matches.
- Only failed to score 2 goals once away.
Conclusions
- We may have to wait for that City first defeat. Newcastle failed to score in 3 of their last 4 at home.
- Lay the 0-0 in the halftime score market.
- A hope City pull off the usual trick of conceding first at the end of first half, equalising quickly 2nd half and then scoring a winner in 'Raheem Sterling' time.
- Newcastle were extremely attacking v West Ham and may score today but this looks like 'business as usual' for City.
SCOTTISH PREMIER LEAGUE
19:45 - Aberdeen v Partick - 1.4 Aberdeen
- 10 goals scored in 2 matches by Aberdeen in head to heads. Confident Dons?
Aberdeen (2nd)
- All 5 defeats have come within the last 11 matches.
- All bar 1 defeat came v the top 3.
- No 0-0 at halftime at home.
- 100% over 1.5 goals at home.
Partick Thistle (11th)
- Only 2 wins in 8 matches.
- Only 3 clean sheets.
- Not won an away match.
- 4 defeats in 5 aways.
- Conceded 2+ goals in each of their last 3 away matches.
- 2/3 goals conceded away v top 4 teams.
Conclusions
- It looks like Aberdeen should be winning today, scoring 2/3 goals at least.
- We should expect 2 goals at least today in total.
- Lay the 0-0 in the halftime score market.
19:45 - Hamilton v Kilmarnock - 2.72 Kilmarnock
- 1-1, 0-2 Kilmarnock and 2-2 last 2 head to heads.
- This match, the Hearts match and Ross County matches I would ordinarily not bother with given the odds but it is a quiet day so I feel obliged to research.
Hamilton (9th)
- 3 losses in 4 matches.
- Only 3 clean sheets.
- Only 1 loss in 5 home matches.
- Failed to score in only 4 matches.
- Not beaten a top 8 team at home. Scored and conceded in all bar 1 of those matches.
Kilmarnock (6th)
- Only 2 losses in 12 matches.
- 4 wins in 5 matches.
- Scored and conceded in 5 of their last 6 away matches.
- Only 3 clean sheets.
- No defeat in 8 away.
- 8 of 11 goals scored away came 2nd half.
- Only 1 away loss.
Conclusions
- Strong both teams to score pattern from both sides. Slight advantage Kilmarnock for me. Only 1 away loss and Hamilton have not beaten a top 8 at home.
- If that form continues, lay Hamilton if Hamilton scores first.
- Lay the 0-0 in the halftime score market.
19:45 - Hearts v Hibernian - 2.56 Hibernian
- Hibs are unbeaten in the last 8 head to heads.
Hearts (5th)
- 3 draws and now 3 consecutive wins to nil at home.
- 5 clean sheets in 6 matches.
- Failed to score in only 5 matches.
- 5 0-0's at halftime at home.
- Only home defeats v 3rd and 6th.
Hibs (4th)
- Only 5 defeats.
- 2 defeats in their last 3 matches.
- Failed to score in only one match.
- Scored and conceded in 7 of their last 8 matches.
- Only 1 away loss v 2nd in the league.
- 2-1-3-3 goals scored away v the top 6!!
Conclusions
- As the odds suggest, these 2 cannot be split. Hearts are unbeaten in 6 home matches, winning the last 3.
- Hibs are solid away, and have actually scored 2-1-3-3 goals v the top 6 away from home!. Further, they have only 1 away loss.
- As you can see, a tough nut to crack and a good reason why the favourite is at odds of 2.56.
19:45 - Rangers v Motherwell - 1.44 Rangers
- Rangers have only won 1 of the last 3 head to heads.
Rangers (3rd)
- 2 consecutive defeats.
- 4 2-1 scorelines in 5 matches. 3 of those 2-1 scorelines were wins.
- Failed to score in only 3 matches.
- Only 1 0-0 at home.
- Have only 1 win at home v top 9 teams.
Motherwell (8th)
- Only 1 win in 9 matches was v 2nd placed Aberdeen.
- 5 losses in 6 away matches.
- Failed to score in only 4 matches.
- 14 of 20 goals conceded away came 2nd half.
- Only 1 win away v top 7.
Conclusions
- Rangers home form v top 9 teams does not make them backable at 1.44 odds but then Motherwell have lost 5/6 away but did beat Aberdeen (2nd) away.
- I would take a chance and lay Rangers if Rangers lead. Only given their poor form at home. Back 2-1/1-2 correct score given the recent record from Rangers?
19:45 - Ross Co v St Johnstone - 2.66 St. Johnstone
- 1-2 St Johnstone and 0-0 in the last 2 head to heads.
Ross County (12th)
- Conceded 2 goals at least in each of their last 5 matches.
- Only 3 clean sheets.
- Not beaten a top 6 side at home.
- Beat 8th and 9th at home and play.....7th.
- Conceded in their last 10 home matches.
St Johnstone (7th)
- 3 consecutive away wins.
- Only 4 clean sheets.
- Away wins v 3rd, 4th, 6th and 9th.
- No 0-0.
- 8 of 11 goals scored away came 2nd half.
Conclusions
- For me, I would acknowledge that the market cannot split these teams, but I would side with St Johnstone here not to lose. Their away wins v 3rd, 4th, 6th and 9th appeals considering they meet 12th today.
- Lay any late 0-0.
- Ross County have conceded in their last 10 home matches so do expect them to concede.
